The entrance hall is full of our history: my own, from the Gers and Hautes Pyrénées, my husband's, from Franche-Comté, with a dash of Austria and a little pinch of Italy thrown in. The message tree (currently being created) bears witness to your visit, reflects the time of year, and displays unusual pictures...

The library is a quiet place to read or watch a film. That is where we drink coffee, tea or herbal tea in winter.

The little sitting room is a stopping place where you can sit by the chimney for a few minutes before mealtime, get ready to go out, or just enjoy the warmth. That is where I will welcome you and say good-bye to you.

The dining room, where we eat on cold days and where everyone finds it calm and cosy.

The conservatory is a huge, bright room where you can relax a while, eat at the big, family dining-table whilst enjoying the last rays of sunshine in the off-season or breakfast looking out at the gardens, where acacia, oak, elm and fir trees grow...whilst listening to the birds in the morning and the frogs in the evening.

The staircase is surprising and narrow for such an enormous building. Even so, it is equipped with a stairlift for those who find it difficult to go upstairs to the bedrooms.

The first-floor hallway is a quiet place leading to the bedrooms.

The gardens have many picturesque little nooks and areas to go walking in. It is bright and sunny but also has shady areas, so that you can sunbathe or read, as you prefer.

The oak patio: a big meadow surrounding a patio and the imposing oak tree that wraps you in its knotty branches: the perfect place to read, take a nap, or have a meeting.

The green route: perfect for taking a little walk and discovering unusual features such as the little stone bridge, the bench, the vegetable patch, etc. It is going to be extended, and so you will discover something new each time you visit.

The pond: not yet enclosed; a good place to fish or to read by the water's edge.

The pool: it is 12 m long and 5 m wide, and equipped with a 2.5 m diving tank and a diving board. Deck chairs await you on the concrete patio. Sometimes in the summer we hold barbeque parties by the pool.

The people:
My name is Edith, and I will welcome you to our house, along with Georges, who is at home in the evening, and Gilbert, the grandfather who lives with us, who loves petanque and belote.

Our children:
When Quentin is in the south-west, he helps me organise fine dining week-ends; he has a diploma in hotel management and loves good food.
Simon, a coppersmith, travels all over France, and made the patio railings.
Perrine is a student in Toulouse. She comes home for the week-end and brightens up our evenings with her lovely smile.
